Sandra K. McSorley
Sandra K. McSorley was a judge of the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. She was appointed to a newly-created seat by former Governor Jeb Bush on January 21, 2000. In 2008, she was re-elected to a term that ended on January 5, 2015. She retired upon the expiration of her term.[1][2]
Education
McSorley received her B.A. and J.D. (1972) degrees from Wayne State University.[3][4]
Career
McSorley began her career in 1972 as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Oakland County, Michigan. In 1975, she moved to Palm Beach County, Florida and began working as an assistant state attorney there. She served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of Florida from 1986 to 1988 and was a private practice lawyer from 1988 to 1990. She then joined the Palm Beach County Court bench, where she served until her elevation to the circuit court in January of 2000.[5]
