Sandra L. McLaughlin was a district court judge for the 30th District Court. The court presides over Jefferson County in Kentucky. McLaughlin was elected to the court in 2010 and was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expired on January 6, 2019.[1][2]  McLaughlin did not file for re-election in 2018.

McLaughlin ran for re-election to the 30th District Court.
General: She defeated Matthew K. Eckert in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 56.1 percent of the vote. [3] 

2010

McLaughlin was elected to the 30th District Court. She defeated incumbent Claude Prather with 52.14 percent of the vote on November 2, 2010.[4][5]

Career

Before her election to the court, McLaughlin practiced law for twelve years and worked as both a state prosecutor and defense attorney. She was previously a certified family mediator and guardian ad litem. In a statement to the Courier-Journal, McLaughlin touted her candidacy stating: "My broad range of life and legal experience has prepared me to be the most qualified candidate for District Court judge."[6]
