Sandra Margulies
Sandra Margulies was a judge for Division 1 of the California 1st District Court of Appeal. She assumed office in 2002. She left office in 2023.
Margulies ran for re-election for the Division 1 judge of the California 1st District Court of Appeal. She won in the retention election on November 6, 2018.
Education
Margulies earned her B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1974 and her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1977.[1]
Career
From 1977 to 1985, Margulies served as deputy district attorney for Alameda County, California. From 1985 to 1988, she was a judge in the San Leandro-Hayward Judicial District and from 1988 to 2002, she was a judge for the Alameda County Superior Court. Margulies was appointed to the California First District Court of Appeal by Governor Gray Davis on January 25, 2002.[2]
