Ballotpedia also asked the candidate a series of optional questions. Sandra Salas answered the following:

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow and why?

Theodora. She was another stripper who became the Byzantine empress. She never forgot where she came from and did a lot to advance sex worker rights.[4]
Is there a book, essay, film, or something else that best describes your political philosophy?
Yeah. I want my gay married uncles to protect their marijuana plants with AR-15s in a community garden run by a brothel where the workers have accept to a safe and legal working environment.[4]
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Given the current administration are principles really all that important? But ideally I'd say a willingness to compromise, knowing when to stand firm and knowing when you gotta concede.[4]
What qualities do you possess that would make you a successful officeholder?
I have the same qualifications as Donald Trump and they served him quite well: no political experience, tiny hands and I've been married 3 times.[4]
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
You're there to serve the people, not your own special interests.[4]
What legacy would you like to leave?
Hmmmm. I don't know. Maybe giving a voice to the one group isit still acceptable to shit on.[4]
What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at that time?
Election of Barack Obama. I didn't always agree with him but he was cool.[4]
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Being a stripper was my first job. I've had it for too long.[4]
What happened on your most awkward date?
I found out that the kid was a necrophiliac. He have me a kiss on the cheek and never called me.[4]
What is your favorite holiday? Why?
Halloween. Who doesn't like Halloween?[4]
What is your favorite book? Why?
The Prince by Machiavelli. It's great lessons for statecraft.[4]
If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
Selina Kyle.[4]
What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?
My stripper pole. It's a great workout.[4]
What was the last song that got stuck in your head?
American Idiot by Green Day.[4]
What is something that has been a struggle in your life?
Probably curbing my very impulsive nature and quick temper.[4]
What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?
It's pretty fucking unique if a family values Republican can resign and a stripper run in his place.[4]
Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?
Probably but does that really matter with the current administration? I think a willingness to learn is much better. I got my current partner as a virgin and he's a very quick learner.[4]
What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?
The fact that we are more divided than ever and fail to see the bigger picture.[4]
Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?
Sure. As long as everyone involved is a consenting adult.[4]
What are your thoughts on term limits?
Much needed and overdue. Have you seen some of these old farts?[4]
Both sitting representatives and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?
Yeah. I'm tired of hearing about losing friends to overdoses. I want the opiod crisis to end.[4]

Ballotpedia biographical submission form

The candidate completed Ballotpedia's biographical information submission form:

What is your political philosophy?

I choos to run because SESTA and FOSTA are literally killing sex workers. This legislation does nothing to distinguish between voluntary sex work between consenting adults and involuntary sex trafficking. Not only is it an egregious violation of the first amendment it does nothing to help victims of sex trafficking and puts sex workers in danger.

Is there anything you would like to add?

Yeah. The two party system is just the same two turds in different color packaging.[4]
