Sandra Snyder (California)
Sandra M. Snyder was a recalled federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. She was first appointed to the court on May 3, 1993.[1]
Education
Judge Snyder received her B.A. degree from California State University at Fresno in 1968 and her J.D. degree from the Golden Gate University School of Law in 1976. She worked as an Assistant to the Dean during law school from 1970 to 1973.[1][2]
Career
Judge Snyder began her career in 1977 as a private practice lawyer in Porterville, California. In 1979, she became the Assistant Director of Development for the Golden Gate University School of Law. The following year she became a Deputy District Attorney in Fresno County. She then returned to private practice in 1981. From 1989 to 1991, she served on the Fresno Municipal Court. She was then promoted to the Fresno Superior Court, where she served until she was appointed magistrate judge in 1993.[2]
