A Sandstone Charter Township Police Levy Renewal proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Jackson County, Michigan, where it was approved.

This proposal authorized the Sandstone Township to renew a property tax of 0.50 mill ($0.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 5 years in order to fund the police protection and public safety services. The estimated first year revenue from this tax was $74,302.[1]
