A Proposed Formation of the "Santa Rita Hills Community Services District," Measure A ballot question was on the May 5, 2009 ballot for voters in the proposed Santa Rita Hills Community Services District in Santa Barbara County, California, where it was approved.
Measure A asked voters to ratify the recommendation of the Santa Barbara Local Agency Formation Commission that a new community services district (the proposed Santa Rita Hills Community Services District) be formed.
The formation of the district meant that the residents of the district were assessed to pay for an annual special tax of $3 million in FY 2008-2009.
The election was conducted exclusively as a mail-in ballot.
