A Santa Rosa County Business Tax Exemption Question was going to be on the August 14, 2012 ballot in Santa Rosa County.
This measure was removed from the ballot due to a typographical error. Though the issue still was printed on ballots, the votes will not count.[1]
This measure was advisory and was going to ask residents if they thought the county should allow for property tax exemptions for new or expanding businesses in the county. This measure was going to be non-binding, so if it had been approved the County Commission would still have had the final say if they would allow for the property tax exemptions. The exemptions would be set by a case by case basis and could last up to ten years for the businesses. Officials have stated that the goal of the exemptions is to allow incentives for growth and development in the county.[2]

| Shall the Board of County Commissioners of this county be authorized to grant, pursuant to Section 3 Article VI of the State Constitution, property tax exemptions to new businesses and expansions of existing businesses?[3][4] |
