|Following my graduation from Rose State College and matriculation at the University of Central Oklahoma, I founded Civic Services Community Advocacy in 2011 to help marginalized Oklahomans. I co-founded the Ending Violence Everywhere Coalition to better advocate for police accountability, victims of violence, and criminal justice reform. I have proudly represented Midwest City Ward 5 voters since 2022 where my focus has been economic development, transparency, and fiscal responsibility while fighting against discrimination and advocating for community-driven policies. I am a member of the People’s Council For Justice Reform where I have spent the last 7 years advocating for transparency and accountability within the Oklahoma Board of County Commissioners, especially regarding the number of deaths in the Oklahoma County Detention Center (Jail). As a civil rights advocate, I have investigated the majority of the 54 deaths in the facility since 2020.
I am passionate about mental health, criminal justice reform, civil rights and anti-corruption, and my work on behalf of voters.- I am committed to ending government fraud, waste, and abuse within the "good ole boy" network that has plagued Oklahoma county government. I will implement an effective Open Records process to ensure taxpayers have easy access to public records. As a champion for government accountability, I will always provide honest and ethical representation. With experience as a public interest advocate and anti-corruption agent, I am ready to reform our county government. I will ensure tax dollars are used wisely, minimizing waste and reallocating funds to essential services. I oppose increasing county ad valorem taxes and creating a county sales tax.
- I commit to fix corruption and neglect at the county jail where 54 have died since 2020 due to violence and systemic failures--despite calls for reform. The Jail Trust that oversees these inhumane conditions needs to be dissolved and Trustees held accountable.
I oppose the billion-dollar jail proposal, in support of evidence-based policies that reduce population to 600-800 by only housing violent offenders. I also oppose the new Del City facility in favor of a smaller jail at the current site.
With 15 years of civil rights experience, I will push for mental health reforms, expand PACT, repurpose government buildings for treatment centers, and secure federal funding to improve care. I commit to “housing first” solutions for the unhoused. - I will enhance Oklahoma county infrastructure by focusing on buildings, roads, bridges, highways, water ways and the jobs that represents. Revitalization can happen by cutting government waste and reducing unnecessary costs related to housing mass numbers of people at the jail. I will redirect these resources to maintaining and reconstructing over 200 miles in unincorporated areas, rural roads, bridges, and county highways in Oklahoma County District 1. I will support and cooperate with municipalities and school districts on infrastructure and other essential government projects.
