Sara Smith was an at-large member of the Glendale Elementary School District in Arizona. Smith assumed office in 2006. Smith left office on January 1, 2023.
Smith ran for re-election for an at-large seat of the Glendale Elementary School District in Arizona. Smith won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
When she was appointed to the board in 2006, she filled a vacancy created by board member Pia Barron moving out of the district.[1]

2014
Two seats on the Glendale Elementary School District Governing Board were scheduled for general election on November 4, 2014. Carlos Meza filed to challenge incumbents Brenda Bartels and Sara Smith in their re-election campaigns, but fell short by 48 signatures.[2] The Maricopa County Education Service Agency recommended that the election be canceled and that Bartles and Smith be appointed to retain their seats on the governing board by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.[3]
Results
The election was canceled due to a lack of contested races. Incumbents Brenda Bartels and Sara Smith were appointed to retain their seats by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on September 10, 2014.[4]
Funding
Smith reported no contributions or expenditures to the Maricopa County Recorder's office.[5]

Smith received no official endorsements in the election.
