She is the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Risk Officer, and President of Western Bank in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She has 26 years of banking experience.[1]

Kidd-Johnson ran in the 2012 election for New Mexico State Senate District 34. She ran and lost against Ron Griggs in the Republican primary on June 5, 2012. Incumbent Vernon Asbill (R) did not run for re-election. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
