Sarah Ingles was born in Columbus, Ohio. She earned a bachelor's degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2011 and a law degree from Capital University Law School in 2018. Her career experience includes working as an attorney at law.[1]

Sarah Ingles is a workers' rights attorney and community servant-leader that began advocating for public education as a teenager. When she was just 19 years old, she testified before her public school board against book bans in her school district.

Sarah is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University where she triple-majored in Politics and Government, Spanish and Latin American Studies and was named a Top Ten Student Athlete. She is also a graduate of Capital University Law School, where she was named a regional Moot Court Champion at the ABA Moot Court Competition, Executive Articles Editor on the school's Law Review, Outstanding Woman Law Student by the National Association of Women Lawyer, and a Marshall-Brennan Fellow.

From 2019 - 2023, Sarah led the Central Ohio Worker Center, a non-profit advocating for and with low-wage and immigrant workers. She has worked on Democratic political campaigns and helped non-profits and community organizations to fundraise for important social good in the Columbus area. In addition, Sarah has worked for prestigious non-profit entities such as the ACLU of Ohio, the American Cancer Society, and more.

Sarah is a member of the NAACP of Columbus, the AFL-CIO Union Lawyers Alliance, is a graduate of a fellowship and former Board member of the New Leaders Council, Columbus, and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Sarah is bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Sarah believes that preparing our students for academic success is imperative for our global society, and she is interested in fostering opportunities for students to gain skills that prepare them for post-secondary education and direct workforce entry.

Sarah is passionate about uplifting the diversity of the district and ensuring that funds are spent equitably and responsibly.
I look up to the leaders like FDR who led the country at a tumultuous time to bring economic prosperity to all working families.
My goal is to leave Columbus City School District stronger and more successful than the way I found it upon entering Board service.
