Sarah F. Jones is a judge of the Twelfth Circuit Court (Subcircuit No. 3) in Joliet, Illinois.[1] She was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court on January 5, 2007.[2] She was retained on November 4, 2014, for a term that expired on December 6, 2020.[3]

Jones was retained to the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court with 71.3 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]
Evaluations
Members of the Illinois State Bar Association and other participating attorneys rated Jones as Not Recommended for retention in a 2014 poll.[4]
In order to be recommended, candidates must receive a 65% “yes” response when asked if they meet the requirements of office. The percentage is based only on "yes" and "no" responses; "no opinion" responses are not factored in.[4]
Education
Jones earned a B.A. in history from Creighton University, going on to receive her J.D. from Drake University.[2]
Career
From 1993 until her judicial appointment in 2007, Jones worked with the state's attorney's office of Will County. Beginning in 2006 she was a courtroom supervisor in the felony division. She was formerly a courtroom supervisor in the felony division, where she trained assistant state's attorneys.[2]
