|She volunteers with the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project, along with several local activist groups, and Democratic clubs. Sarah Kate serves on the Los Angeles Library Foundation board.
Sarah Kate earned her B.A. in English Literature at Yale College, and her Master's Degree in Professional Writing at USC. She lives in Hollywood with her husband and their four children.

- I will take action to address homelessness by establishing safe parking and safe campsites with bathrooms, showers, and social services on-site. I will work to keep tenants in-place, and to speed permitting for affordable housing.
- I will fight to make our streets safer for all Angelenos, with protected bus lanes, protected bike lanes, and wide sidewalks, so that Angelenos have better choices for how they travel our city. This will help traffic, better our air quality, and is significant climate action.
- I will invest in our urban forest, so that every neighborhood is rich with trees, and has a park within walking distance.
