I am a wife, mom, farmer, small business owner. I was a criminal defense paralegal for over 11 years before entering the political world. My husband and I have two teenage boys that go to Springport Public Schools.
  • I will continue to fight for tax reform. You deserve to keep more of your hard earned money and I will be your voice in Lansing to work for that.
  • Parents should be involved in their child's education. As a mom, and wife of a school board member, I know how important it is to be involved so we raise productive members of society.
  • I will continue to fight for business in Michigan. Working with stakeholders to make our region more site ready will increase the attraction to Michigan. We want our future generations to stay, work and play in MIchigan.
Currently, I serve on Appropriations. That gives me great insight as to how government works and the many departments that we have. My passion lies in the justice system and agriculture. From my prior experience as a paralegal, I have many contacts in my network who work in the justice system and help me better understand what is going on and how to make it better. Agriculture is a part of my daily life and making sure my neighbors, friends, and other farmers we know are able to have the tools in place to be productive to our state. We can't grow more farm land and we need to preserve what we have and take care of what we have to make sure we thrive in the ag world for years to come.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Michigan

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states.  To contribute to the list of Michigan scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
