Sarah Michelsen joined Bernie Sanders' 2020 presidential campaign in April 2019 as Nevada state director.[1]
She previously worked as the executive director of Arizona Wins and as a political and organizing consultant. She also served on the boards of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona and NARAL Pro-Choice Arizona.[1]
Career
Michelsen earned her B.A. from American University in women's and gender studies in 2009. She received a master's degree in public policy from Arizona State University in 2016.[1]
In 2012, Michelsen was a state fellow in Arizona for the Center for Progressive Leadership. Following her fellowship, she worked as a political and organizing consultant. Michelsen also worked for America Votes until 2019, where she was the executive director of Arizona Wins.[1]
Michelsen joined Sanders' 2020 presidential campaign in April 2019.[1]
She was a board member at large for NARAL Pro-Choice Arizona from 2011 to 2014. She began serving on Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona's board in 2016.[1]
