I am an everyday person, I work a regular Mon-Fri job and have a 2nd part time job to make a bit extra. Like the people in my district I work hard to make a good life for myself and those I love. I know the struggles of trying to afford housing, living with in crime in my neighborhood, and seeing the effects of poverty on the community. We need a representative in Jefferson City who is not so removed from the people and who has a love for and dedication to the improvement of the district. I believe that I am that person.
  • I am not a politician, I am a citizen who believes the people should be represented by someone who will uphold the Constitution and keeptheir best interest in mind.
  • I will stand up for equal rights for all people and work to change any legislation that provides special privileges for any class of people or is systemically racist.
  • As your representative, I will be available to you every day of the year, not just on voting day or when the legislature is in session.
Education: Not all students are the same, and parents know their children's unique needs. We need to allow for portability of educational tax dollars. Housing: In Springfield in particular, we have homes here being sold at a value that even a single person working full time on minimum wage could afford to purchase. We know that when people own their own homes they help to create stronger communities, build wealth, and it is often cheaper than renting. Crime: We need to look at how and why bonds are issued, to ensure that people are not incarcerated unnecessarily, which causes them to lose their jobs and homes as well as costing tax payer money to keep them jailed when they are not a threat to public safety or a flight risk.
I would like to be remembered for following the Constitution and the will of the people.

Campaign Facebook page

Semple's campaign Facebook page stated the following:

Equal Rights For All

I believe the right of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness is open to all. They are granted by our Creator. No government can eliminate them, no person should attempt to deny them

Tax Reform

My goal is to create and environment where citizens are able to keep more of their hard earned money. Ideally I'd like to see Missouri move away from income tax.

2nd Amendment

The right to keep and bear arms is about every American being able to defend their inalienable rights.

Common Sense Gun Safety

Common Sense Gun Safety is about ensuring that those who purchase firearms are properly trained to use those tools with the utmost safety

Fiscal Responsibility

Thankfully the state of Missouri has a Balanced Budget law. I believe at this point the goal is to ensure that we are using tax revenues in the most responsible ways possible.

Right To Life

I believe that all innocent humans no matter how young or old have an inalienable right to life.[2]
