Sarika Kapoor is a judge of the New York Court of Claims. She assumed office on June 6, 2022. Her current term ends on March 30, 2026.
Career
Since 2005, Kapoor has been the Small Claims Tax Assessment Review Hearing Officer in the Supreme Court, Tenth Judicial District, appointed by the Chief Administrative Judge of the Courts of Nassau County. Since 2015, she was also the special Election Referee for the Supreme Court, appointed by the Nassau County Administrative Judge, Thomas Adams. From 2004 to 2009, Kapoor was a Court Attorney at the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Nassau County Law Department. From 2009 to 2011, she was a Senior Court Attorney, and from 2011 to 2022, she was an Associate Court Attorney.[1]
