Satana Deberry
Satana Deberry (Democratic Party) is the North Carolina 16th Prosecutorial District Attorney. She assumed office in 2019. Her current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Deberry (Democratic Party) ran for election for Attorney General of North Carolina. She lost in the Democratic primary on March 5, 2024.
Biography
Deberry graduated from Princeton University with a degree in sociology in 1991 and obtained a law degree and a master's in business administration from Duke University. Her career experience includes working as a defense attorney, as general counsel to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and as executive director of the North Carolina Housing Coalition, a nonprofit.[1]
