A Satellite Beach City Tax Increase Approval Amendment question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Brevard County, which is in Florida, where it was approved.

This question amended the city charter so that a supermajority of 4/5 of the voters is necessary to approve any increase of city taxes.[1]

Language on the ballot:

Shall Satellite Beach amend its charter to require a supermajority (4/5) vote to approve any increase in ad valorem millage rate, non-ad valorem assessments or public service tax rates in excess of the current rate as well as to approve the imposition of new non-ad valorem assessments or public service tax rates?[1][2]
