Satveer Chaudhary
Satveer Chaudhary (b. June 12, 1969) was a Democratic member of the Minnesota State Senate. He was first elected to the position in 2000 and was re-elected in 2006, with his term expiring in 2010. Before becoming a senator, Chaudhary was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1996 to 2000. He was defeated in the 2010 Democratic primary by Barbara Goodwin.
Chaudhary was a foreign policy intern for the late United States Senator Edward M. Kennedy and was a special assistant for former Minnesota Attorney General Hubert H. Humphrey III.
Chaudhary graduated from St. Olaf College with his bachelor's degree and later graduated with his juris doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.[1]

Chaudhary ran for re-election to the 50th District Seat in 2010, losing to Democratic primary challenger Barbara Goodwin by a margin of 5,470-2,354.[3]
2006
On November 7, 2006, Chaudhary won re-election to the 50th District Seat in the Minnesota State Senate, defeating Rae Hart Anderson (R).[4]
