Candidate Connection

Saundra "Sandy" Garber participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on March 5, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and Saundra "Sandy" Garber's responses follow below.[4]

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) District Growth...Wentzville is the fastest growing school district in Missouri. It is important to build new schools with "student growth" as paramont

2) Rising Taxes..Wentzville is the highest taxed township in all of St. Charles County. Must keep tax increases to a minimum
3) Student / Teacher SAFETY in our Public Schools ..[5][6]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

The curriculum is concerning as the Common Core program instituted in MO in 2009 cost MO taxpayers apprx $350 MILLION DOLLARS. Now, according to the MO State Board of Education,Common Core no longer exists in MO due to public criticism and has been replaced with the MO LEARNING STANDARDS. It is described by Education Watchdogs as COMMON CORE BUT was a NAME CHANGE ONLY. It does much harm to the students educational achievement, demonstrates lack of critical thinking skills & has lowered the standards for high school graduation.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[6]
