I am a multigenerational West Virginian. My ancestors immigrated to America on the Mayflower. I have worked for Senator Chuck Grassley's Campaign, Interned on Capitol Hill, Interned for Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, Interned on Jane Timken's Campaign, and worked blue-collar jobs. I am married and part of Generation Z.
  • West Virginians can’t fully live the American dream without a strong and growing economy. Sawyer is committed to a balanced, common-sense plan that lowers taxes for hardworking families and small businesses while raising the minimum wage so paychecks keep up with the cost of living. This two-pronged approach will make the Mountain State more attractive to new employers and help bring back the jobs we’ve lost. A thriving economy means more opportunity, stronger communities, and—by giving people real paths to success—less crime and safer neighborhoods for everyone.
  • Sawyer is committed to making Morgantown—and all of Monongalia County—a safer place to live, work, and raise a family. His plan starts with empowering law enforcement: providing officers with the resources and support they need while ensuring laws are fairly and consistently enforced. Sawyer will work to end illegal camping on public property, addressing problems at their source while connecting those in need with appropriate services. One of his top priorities is ensuring that women and children can move about our community without fear of violence or crime. To protect our youngest generations, Sawyer will introduce legislation to increase police presence in schools and create a job program for retired police officers and military vets.
  • Sawyer wants to keep biological men out of women's sports and bathrooms. He believes that women's spaces should be protected.
I look up to Thomas Massie and Pat Buchanan. They are America First patriots that want every American to achieve prosperity and happiness.
Every officeholder should seek to better the country and not use the office as a way to line their pockets.
I want to make West Virginia a better place to live.
I started working at Bob Evans as a server for about a year.
Crime and Punishment. It is a thrilling read and has a good message.
They should work hand-in-hand to ensure that the people can be fairly represented.
Yes, my predecessor has made zero effort in building connections, which is why his last 36 bills have died.
I would propose legislation to end personal income taxes.
A woman once told me about an experience of being harassed on a street. It inspired me to get involved and clean up Morgantown.
Graduating and being successful as a man who came from a one parent household.
Any legislation that encourages healthy and fair elections.
