This measure sought to replace the current levy with one set at a rate of $2.59 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of four years in order to help pay for the general educational programs and maintenance costs in the school district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| The Board of Directors adopted Resolution #2011-03 concerning educational funding. This proposition authorizes the District to levy the following excess taxes to replace an expiring levy on all taxable property within the District, to support the District’s educational maintenance and operations:
