Schwarzenegger announces 17 appointments

California: On June 30, Governor Schwarzenegger announced 17 judicial appointments, to various courts. Eleven judges are to serve on the Los Angeles Superior Court:

  • Michael J. Convey, a Superior Court Commissioner,
  • Christine C. Ewell, Assistant U.S. Attorney,
  • Dianna J. Gould-Saltman, Los Angeles Attorney,
  • Brian M. Hoffstadt, Los Angeles Attorney,
  • Marc R. Marmaro, Los Angeles Attorney,
  • Chestopher L. Taylor, Los Angeles Attorney,
  • James E. Horan, Alternate Public Defender for Los Angeles County,
  • Upinder S. Kalra, Alternate Public Defender for Los Angeles County,
  • Yvette Verastegui, Alternate Public Defender for Los Angeles County,
  • Timothy R. Saito, Deputy City Attorney for Los Angeles, and
  • Carlos E. Vazquez, Deputy District Attorney, Los Angeles County.[1]
