Scot T. Mortier

Scot T. Mortier was a candidate for judge of the Fond du Lac County Circuit Court in Wisconsin in 2010.[1] He lost to opponent Gary R. Sharpe, with 4,658 to 6,006 votes.[2]

Mortier ran for a seat on the Fond du Lac County Circuit Court in 2010. The seat was open due to the retirement of Steven Weinke. His opponent was Gary R. Sharpe. Mortier emphasized his work as a district attorney on more than 15,000 criminal cases as giving him the experience needed for the court.[3]

Education

Scot Mortier received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He received his J.D. from Northern Illinois University in 1986.[4]

Career

Mortier works for the Fond du Lac County District Attorney's office.[4] He has been with the DA's office for the past 23 years.[3]

Awards and associations

Mortier has been involved with many community organizations including, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Shop with a Cop and DARE programs. He has also served on the Marian University's Criminal Law Advisory Committee, and is a member of Americans for Prosperity.[3]
