Scott Kreider is a former Republican councilman for District 23 of the Indianapolis City Council in Indiana. He served from 2016 to 2019. He announced his resignation from the position on October 17, 2018.

In his resignation letter, Kreider said he was resigning because his “current professional endeavors no longer enable me to diligently and zealously advocate for the citizens of this great city and county as I believe the people deserve. It has recently become apparent that my current professional endeavors will require ever-increasing attention, which will impact my availability to serve—as has been my privilege.”[1]
