Scott Davis (Tennessee)
Scott Davis is a former member of the Nashville Metro Council in Tennessee, representing District 5. He was elected to the council in 2011. He did not seek re-election in 2019.
Davis (Democrat) was a candidate who sought election to the Tennessee House of Representatives to represent District 54. Davis lost the primary on August 2, 2018.
Biography
Raised in Nashville, Davis attended Hillwood Comp High School.[1] He earned a B.A. in political science from Bethune Cookman University in 2002, going on to receive an MBA in management from Strayer University in 2009.[2] His professional experience includes the following:
- 2011-2019: Councilman, Nashville Metro Council
- 2007-present: Vice president of marketing and sales, PRIDE Publishing Group LLC
- 2007-2012: Distribution and circulation manager, PRIDE Publishing Group LLC[2]

2015
The city of Nashville, Tennessee, held nonpartisan elections for mayor and metro council on August 6, 2015. A runoff election took place on September 10, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was May 21, 2015. All 41 metro council seats—including the office of vice mayor—were up for election. In District 5, incumbent Scott Davis and Sarah Martin advanced past Pam Murray in the general election.[3][4] Davis defeated Martin in the runoff election.[5]
