I am a practical Democrat who has spent 20+ years in DFL party leadership. I want to help transform the culture in Minneapolis' police department and supplement it with complementary services like mental health professionals and violence de-escalation experts. We have multiple shortcomings in our housing eco-system at all levels of affordability and my career as a real estate broker will help inform my leadership in this area. I am a curious, hard-working collaborator who is ready to get to work.
  • Minneapolis needs to transform the culture of our police department. I stand behind the police department and will vote to fund their budgets, but that support is tied to very high expectations.
  • We need to pay attention to our housing shortages at all levels of affordability without placing the entire burden on the taxpayers of Minneapolis. Federal and state funding are necessary.
  • Our downtown and Uptown commercial areas need creative solutions to attract people and create safe and fun spaces.
Housing, zoning and urban planning, economic development.
