I am Scott A. Hatfield Jr., I currently work in Public Safety at the Utah Department of Corrections. I have my Bachelors in Political Science with emphasis in American Government and Constitutional Studies. I am in the process of obtaining my Master of Public Administration. I have worked for both Senator Mike Lee and Senator Mitt Romney. I am a Veteran of the United States Navy and a prior Corpsman.
  • 2nd Amendment Protections
  • Veterans and Public Safety access to mental healthcare
  • Fiscal Conservatism
Keeping and holding dear our 2nd Amendment protections under the constitution, fiscal conservatism to keep taxes low now and in the future for generations to come, ending foreign land grabs of our states, public lands access, conservationism, Unaffordable Housing, Gas, Groceries, and Taxes are wreaking havoc on the American Family because of Inflation and policies that are taking your hard-earned money away, The Rule of Law that has almost been negated with two systems of justice depending on what party you are, and Mass Migrations of Illegal Immigrants that are unchecked at our borders clog up an already failing Immigration System
God is my number one person I follow, he has given me everything I have in life and I owe everything to him. I recognize no other to look up to.
The Marine Corps Leadership Traits of JJDIDTIEBUCKLE.

Justice, Judgement, Dependability, Initiative, Decisiveness, Tact, Integrity, Enthusiasm, Bearing, Unselfishness, Courage, Knowledge, Loyalty, Endurance.
The Marine Corps Leadership Principles

Know yourself and seek self improvement, be technically and tactically proficient, know your people and look out for their welfare, keep your personnel informed, set the example, Ensure That The Task Is Understood, Supervised, and Accomplished, Train Your Marines And Sailors As A Team (Your employees and Team), Make Sound And Timely Decisions, Develop A Sense Of Responsibility Among Your Subordinates, Employ Your Command Within its Capabilities, and Seek Responsibilities And Take Responsibility
Loyalty to their constituency and the constitution.

Tact to navigate your emotions and temperament in the many decisions and avenues of Congress.
Judgement on your decisions that will not only effect the constituency but all of the United States.

Integrity to do the right thing.
That politicians aren't there to flex their power over the constituency, but they are there endowed with the power to represent them accordingly and return the ultimate power to the people.
I was a paper boy at the age of 12, I delivered around 3,000 papers 4 days a week to help my mother with bills. I did this until I was 16 years old. My first professional job was the United States Navy as a Corpsman and served for 5 years.
John Locke's Second Treatise of Government. This text is an important contribution to what is known as social contract theory and our modern political theory. This theory holds that our government(s), is a just government when the representative thereof operate according to the consent of those that they govern and for their rights
We Built This City while backpacking in the Wind River Range in Wyoming after the election.
Mental Health has always been a struggle for me. From a young age being in a single parent home where my father was not around, my mom in and out of mental hospitals, and being raised partially by my grandparents those experiences have weighed heavily on me and the things I saw. In my teenage years seeing two of my friends die and holding my cousin as he took his last breath showed me how fragile life was. Then my time in the military, emergency medicine, the Department of Veterans Affairs and Corrections has continued that constant pressure on my mental state. Having lost many friends, seen death in many instances, and hear my friends I love and hold dear that I served with take their own life; weighs heavily. That is why I run and will continue to run to make and leave the world a better place for those who have served and those who have serious traumas in their lives and they can have relief and freedom again.
I believe that there needs to be a fine mixture of both. Experience is great for understanding how the institution works and how to make things progress and policy/bill writing. However, we need new representatives that can help progress this country in the right direction.
Illegal Immigration, Defaulting on our National Debt and it becoming even more unsustainable, Domestic Terrorism, liberal/communist/socialist takeover of most of our institutions that will strip away our very rights that are protected under the constitution, and indoctrination of our youth and young bright minds in college.
I believe that it is the right length, it gives you time to get in, learn what to do, and then proceed with your agenda, and if you don't follow through you can be removed by your constituency in a timely matter.
I believe we need term limits to ensure election integrity and fresh ideas are brought forth not only in Utah, but the country. I believe in 3 term Governors, 5 term House of Reps, and 3 Term Senators.
I believe that compromise is needed for anything in life however, where I draw the line is on moral beliefs.
