Eagle River Realtor, community leader, and business owner Scott Myers is a conservative voice you can count on. Scott started his journey in Eagle River 13 years ago managing new home projects for a land development company. Later, he was recruited to be the managing broker for a real estate office. His reputation as a hard-working and committed professional earned him an exclusive membership in the President’s Circle by the National Associate of REALTORS®. He is one of only six realtors in Alaska to receive membership. He has also been recognized for his work on tv and in magazines. In 2014 he was featured on the Discovery Channel’s Buying Alaska, in 2015 he was named 30 Under 30 by REALTOR® Magazine, and in 2016 he was featured on the cover of Top Agent Magazine.
  • Here in Chugiak-Eagle River, we value local control and our hometown feel. But our way of life is constantly under threat by the out-of-control Anchorage democrats. I am running to make sure our values are represented and our voice is heard. As the conservative candidate for District 2, I believe in limited government, local control, fiscal responsibility, and empowering families to make decisions about their own lives. With my background as a successful real estate professional, I know how to manage budgets and ensure that your money is being spent wisely. I have the skills to navigate complex legal contracts, ensuring that you, the voter, always get the best deal possible.
  • Defend local control
  • Promote fiscal responsibility
Affordable housing is a very critical issue that impacts all of Anchorage, Chugiak, Eagle-River, and JBER. The lack thereof has driven many of our employees to neighboring communities and some residents to leave the state entirely. While inflation and interest rates contribute to our housing crisis, we must get our spending under control so that we can bring down property taxes and therefore bring relief to owners and renters alike. We must also work to build strong partnerships with the institutions that hold buildable land so that we can have an open dialogue about the community’s need for greater access to private land. While acknowledging that these institutions have a fiduciary responsibility to their trustees; with this in mind, any negotiations should be done in good faith.
