Scott Raecker (b. August 30, 1961) is a former Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 63 from 1999 to 2013.

Raecker is Executive Director of the Institute for Character Development. He previously served as Executive Director of the Iowa Student Sesquicentennial Commission from 1992-1997, Vice President of the Vail Valley Foundation from 1988-1992, and Vice President of the First National Bank of Vail from 1986-1988.

Raecker serves on the Board of the Advocacy Network for Aging Iowans, Fellow of the Midwest Council of Government's Legislative Leadership Institute, Drake Business Association, Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, and the Rotary Club of Des Moines.[1]

Raecker won re-election to the 63rd District seat against John E. Sachs (D). Raecker had no opposition in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[2]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Raecker was re-elected to the 63rd District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives, defeating Nita Garvin (D).[3] Raecker raised $32,965 for his campaign, while Garvin raised $3,724.[4]
