April 21, 2025: Seventy-five percent (75%) of voters say they trust the American people more than America’s political leaders when it comes to important national issues. A Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found just 9% trust America’s political leaders more.

The survey also found 50% believe that group of citizens randomly selected, one from each Congressional District, would do a better job than the current Congress. Twenty percent (20%) disagree.

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on April 14-15, 2025. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
