April 23, 2025: Thirty-four percent (34%) of voters say their own representative in Congress is the best person for the job. A Napolitan News Service national survey conducted by RMG Research found 28% do not believe their own representative is the best person for the job. Additionally, 16% do not even know who their representative is.

The survey also found 42% say it is likely that their representative in Congress trades votes for cash. Thirty-three percent (33%) say this is not likely.

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on April 14-15, 2025. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
