April 24, 2025: Two states, Florida and Illinois, have a 60% threshold for all constitutional amendments. On November 3, 2026 voters in North Dakota will vote to decide if they want to change the threshold for a constitutional amendment from a simple majority vote (50% + 1) to a 60% super majority. South Dakota and Utah will also be deciding on a similar amendment come 2026.
