August 16, 2024: Forty percent (40%) of Supreme Court opinions issued in the 2023 term were unanimous. Another 35% were decided by a 6-3 margin. Half of those 6-3 decisions had John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Clarence Thomas in the majority and Ketanji Brown Jackson, Elena Kagan, and Sonia Sotomayor in the minority.
