August 17, 2020: Fifteen percent (15%) of U.S. companies in China plan to move operations out of China. That includes 4% who plan on moving operations to the United States and 11% who will move somewhere else. For companies moving operations out of China, the most common destinations are Mexico and Thailand.[1]

The US-China Business Council also reports that 24% of U.S. companies in China stopped or reduced planned investments in China this year. That’s up dramatically from 17% in 2019 and 8% in 2018.[1]
