August 22, 2019: Seventy-four percent (74%) of voters consider healthcare to be a very important voting issue. A new ScottRasmussen.com national survey found that 73% say the same about the economy while 71% believe national security is that important.[1]
No other issue in the survey was seen as that important by more than 70% of voters.
In terms of priorities, the survey found significant partisan differences:
- For Republicans, the top three issues are national security, the economy, and immigration.
- For Democrats, the top three are healthcare, gun laws, and the economy.
- Among independent voters, the top issues are the economy, healthcare, and national security.
