August 22, 2019: Seventy-four percent (74%) of voters consider healthcare to be a very important voting issue. A new ScottRasmussen.com national survey found that 73% say the same about the economy while 71% believe national security is that important.[1]

No other issue in the survey was seen as that important by more than 70% of voters.

In terms of priorities, the survey found significant partisan differences:

  • For Republicans, the top three issues are national security, the economy, and immigration.
  • For Democrats, the top three are healthcare, gun laws, and the economy.
  • Among independent voters, the top issues are the economy, healthcare, and national security.

Each weekday, Scott Rasmussen’s Number of the Day explores interesting and newsworthy topics at the intersection of culture, politics, and technology.
