December 17, 2024: One hundred and twenty-one years ago, the Wright brothers famously sustained flight on their airplane. The first flight, piloted by Orville, lasted 12 seconds and went 120 feet. The plane the two brothers built and their flight created the framework upon which future generations of air travel would be based.[1]
