December 2, 2024: Sixty-one percent (61%) of voters say reducing the national debt and inflation is more important than reducing climate change. A Napolitan News Service national survey found that 32% of voters say reducing climate change is more important.

The survey also found that voters are divided between those who say that restricting use of land to protect natural environments is more important (47%) and those who say that using federal lands to create more jobs and provide resources needed to grow the economy is (41%).

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on November 18-19, 2024. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.

Scott Rasmussen is the president of RMG Research, Inc.
