December 9, 2019: Seventy-six percent (76%) of U.S. companies will be hosting a holiday party this year. That’s up from 65% a year ago and the highest total in three years.[1]

These results come from a survey released by global outplacement and executive coaching firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc.

The survey also found that 60% of those hosting a party will hold it on a workday or near the end of a workday. Fifty-three percent (53%) will serve alcohol and 47% will invite family and spouses.[1]

Each weekday, Scott Rasmussen’s Number of the Day explores interesting and newsworthy topics at the intersection of culture, politics, and technology.
