February 14, 2024: Across America, people will spend $25.8 billion on Valentine’s Day this year, equal to $186 per person. According to the National Retail Federation, $14.2 billion will be spent on significant others, while the remaining $11.6 billion will be spent on friends, coworkers, teachers, and even pets.[1]
Overall, the NRF expects consumers to spend $6.4 billion on jewelry, $4.9 billion on evenings out, $3 billion on clothing, and $2.6 billion on flowers.[1]
