Scott Rasmussen's Number of the Day for February 21, 2023

February 21, 2023: Sixty-one percent (61%) of voters talked about politics around the kitchen table or at another family gathering in the past few days. That’s a bit higher than the number who normally talk about politics.
A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that of those, 19% talked about President Biden and the Democrats, 19% talked about the economy, and 6% talked about Donald Trump and the Republicans.
The survey also found that, among those who didn’t talk about politics, 43% say that the economy is the most important political issue right now. No other issue came close.
Methodology
The survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on February 8-9, 2023. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of Registered Voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
