February 23, 2024: In Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington, all school board incumbents who ran for re-election in 2023 were re-elected.
Of the 318 school board incumbents in districts covered by Ballotpedia who ran for re-election, 262 won their seats again.The number of unopposed seats on school boards watched by Ballotpedia has dropped from 36% in 2020 to 29% in 2023.
