January 28, 2019: Two-thirds of American adults (66%) are at least somewhat likely to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday. And when they do, 61% of them will be rooting for the Los Angeles Rams. Only 39% will be cheering on the New England Patriots.[1]
A more precise description would note that half (51%) of those rooting for the Rams are actually just rooting against the Patriots.
Regardless of who they are rooting for, a ScottRasmussen.com national survey found that 69% expect the Patriots to emerge victorious and add another Vince Lombardi trophy to their collection.
Among those who follow NFL football on a regular basis, 42% believe Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time. The survey found that 40% disagree and 18% are not sure. Younger fans are more likely to see Brady as the greatest ever.
