July 1, 2022: Fifty-two percent (52%) of voters consider the Fourth of July to be one of the nation’s most important holidays. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that just 9% think it is one of the least important, 33% think it is somewhere in between, and 6% are not sure.

The survey also found that 72% are likely to do something to celebrate the Fourth of July, including 41% who are very likely to do so. Voters in Just 23% are unlikely, including 10% who are very unlikely, and 6% are not sure.

Forty percent (40%) of voters also say that America’s best days are still to come. Thirty-three percent (33%) say that the best days have come and gone, and 27% are not sure.

Methodology

The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on June 16-18, 2022. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.

The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 2.8 percentage points.
