July 24, 2024: Around one-third of the U.S. population, or 118,238,372 people, live in a state that will decide ballot measures related to at least one of five topics this year: abortion, electoral systems, wages, marijuana, and taxes.
As of July 15, 127 state ballot measures are set to be decided by voters across 37 states this year. The more than 30 citizen initiatives this year will be the most since 2016, which featured 76.
