July 25, 2019: Sixteen percent (16%) of voters believe that the amount of money someone earns is just a matter of luck. However, a ScottRasmussen.com national survey found that 73% believe people who work hard, save money, and make good lifestyle decisions generally make more money.[1]
A related question found that 54% believe that people who work harder generally make more than those who don’t. On that point, 31% disagree.
Finally, 52% of all voters believe that people who get married and stay married are better off financially than those who don’t. Seventeen percent (17%) disagree and 31% are not sure.
