July 3, 2019: America’s birthday party typically involves a lot of cookouts and other celebrations with family and friends. According to the National Retail Foundation, the bill for all that celebrating will total $6.8 billion on food this year.[1]
Eighty-six percent (86%) of Americans will do something to celebrate the big day. That works out to an average of $73.33 per person.
And, of course, there will be plenty of patriotic merchandise on display. Sixty-four percent (64%) of men own an American flag. So do 59% of women. Nearly as many own some form of patriotic apparel.
