June 30, 2022: Thirty-one percent (31%) of voters say that Donald Trump is more ethical than most politicians. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 43% say he is less ethical, and 16% think he is neither more nor less ethical than most politicians.

The survey also found that President Biden’s numbers were nearly identical to former President Trump’s. Thirty percent (30%) believe that President Biden is more ethical than most politicians, 42% believe he is less ethical, and 19% believe he’s about the same as most. These numbers reflect historically low levels of cynicism.

Methodology

The survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on June 15-16, 2022. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.

The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 2.8 percentage points.
